Seaton, Sr. , Clyde Hall

Clyde Hall Seaton, Sr. (1903-1986) was born into a farming family in Henderson, Tennessee, to Leonidas Whitfield Seaton and Nancy Bray. He studied business at college in Oxford, Mississippi, and married Lillian Lorraine Roe (1900-1984) of Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of Allan and Pearl Roe, in 1927.

Clyde H. Seaton brought his wife to West Palm Beach, moved into 516 North Poinsettia Avenue, and went to work for the insurance company of B. D. Cole, Inc. In 1937 he became partner and vice president of Wright & Seaton Inc. in the Guaranty Building at South Olive and Datura streets in West Palm Beach.

The Seatons had two children: Patsy Ann (1931- ) (see Johnson bio) and Clyde Hall, Jr. (1935- ), who succeeded his father at Wright & Seaton. The family lived on Valencia Road and Murray Road in West Palm Beach. They were long-time members of First Baptist Church on Flagler Drive. Seaton was also active in Kiwanis International. When he retired from Wright & Seaton, he enjoyed sport fishing on his Hatteras.
