Communities of Palm Beach County
As of 2016 there are 39 incorporated municipalities in Palm Beach County. Several less organized communities have come and gone over the years and are only remembered for the name of the post office that served the local residents. As people settled in Palm Beach County, it became imperative to have a way to communicate with the families left behind and people applied to the United States Postal Service to establish local post offices. Most of these were in private homes or stores. Some of these post office names were adopted as the official appellation of municipalities; others were absorbed into other towns and, except for appearing on old official post office lists, their existence forgotten. The following are all settlements that established a post office in what is now Palm Beach County and are listed alphabetically.
